What hardware or software do you support?

The Gafachi Network supports any SIP compliant hardware or software. Sample configurations, for some common devices, are available to customers once they open an account.

How are DTMF transmitted and received?

RFC2833 is implemented for DTMF on all calls.

Do you support faxing?

Yes, Gafachi offers three modes of fax support:

  • NONE - (default) Upon detecting a fax tone, no re-INVITE will be sent.
  • TRANSPARENT - Upon detecting a fax tone, if the codec is not already G.711 ulaw, a re-INVITE will be attempted to switch to G.711 ulaw.
  • T.38 - Upon detecting a fax tone, our network will send a re-INVITE to attempt to switch to T.38. If the re-INVITE fails, a re-INVITE will be sent to attempt to switch to G.711 ulaw if the codec is not already G.711 ulaw.

    Do you support Asterisk?

    Yes, Gafachi supports Asterisk using SIP only. Sample configurations are made available to you once you open an account. Our network does not support IAX.

    How many simultaneous inbound DID calls can I have?

    The number of simultaneous calls to a DID is determined by the number of "GVLINES" purchased. Example: Five GVLINES would allow five simultaneous calls. More Information About GVLINES

    Do you provide Call Detail Records (CDRs)?

    Yes, real-time CDRs are available to customers through the Customer Management Interface. Once logged in to our website, there is a link for "Call Details (CDRs)" under the section labeled "Reports" on the main menu.

    Do you support Local Number Portability?

    Yes, Gafachi supports Local Number Portability. It is available to customers through the Customer Management Interface. Once logged in to our website, there is a link for "Add new DID #". Choose to "Port / transfer DID(s)" and complete the following process.

    No, there are no per minute charges for DIDs, you simply pay for the number of DIDs and GVLINES you have.

    Do you offer Toll Free Vanity Numbers?

    Yes, Vanity Numbers are available for $25 per search/reservation. To obtain a Vanity Toll Free Number, please email order@gafachi.com including the name on the account, and a list of choices for numbers.

    Can I transfer/port my existing Toll Free Number to Gafachi?

    Yes, you can transfer your Toll Free Number to Gafachi for a fee of $25 per number. Simply, fill out the Toll Free Number transfer form Transfer Toll Free Numbers to GAFACHI - RESPORG

    How do I get billed for Gafachi services?

    Gafachi's services are pre-paid. Per-minute usage charges for Termination and Toll Free Origination are deducted from your account balance. You may make credit card payments via our website, which are added to your account balance instantly. Wire transfer is another option for adding funds to your account balance. The monthly recurring charges for Toll Free numbers, Local DID numbers, and GVLINEs can only be billed directly to a credit card.
